Over the past 6 years, hundreds of people have received resources (both tangible and intangible), encouragement, and been empowered because of your generosity.

During this holiday season we are asking you to help us continue to be hope and give hope. We have partnered with a local school district to provide coats, scarves, hats, and gloves to students and families at 4 of their schools. 

​

For many of us it is difficult to imagine surviving the Chicago weather without the winter coats we have stored in our closets. In fact many of us, have been blessed enough to buy new coats almost every year for ourselves and our children. However, every winter there are children that go to school everyday shivering in the cold wearing either coats that have been handed down and are too small and many wearing nothing more than hoodies or thin jackets.

While there are many fighting to change for long-term change of systems that cause these conditions, there is amazing opportunity to be hope right now. Join us in making sure those who are  in need this holiday season know that there are people who love and care. You can do this by donating at least $20 today, which will cover the expense of a new coat with all the accessories. We will directly distribute the coats to students whose need has been identified by teachers and/or administrators.

In addition to our Coats for Kids (winter apparel drive), we are also raising support for our programming for children ages 12 and under. Empowerment Kids is committed to offering a safe place where children can learn and grow. Engaging kids and empowering families is our goal and every gift matters to making this vision happen.
